One of a series of five folded, detailed tourist and recreation maps, with relief shading used to help visualize Norway's mountainous terrain by Cappelen Publishing. The maps indicate forested areas and show other geographical features such as glaciers, waterfalls, national parks and other natural features. Railways, ferries and many classes of road are included, along with hiking trails. Road distances are indicated on the map and roads closed in the winter are also shown. Towns and other settlements are classified according to population. Symbols denote accomodation types including campsites and cabins, and sites of interest, viewpoints, lighthouses, ski lifts and bird colonies. Map legend in German, English, Norwegian and French.
J.W. Cappelens Forlag AS is Norway's oldest publishing house, established in 1829. |
